Now that the rush of the holidays is over, I have been focusing on how we are going to improve Genie Beauty for you in 2017. What we do well and what we need to do better. I had two experiences this year with Christmas gift shopping (one at a popular home-wares store and the other at an online boutique) and was unpleasantly surprised with both. I was buying a new duvet cover at one and a monogrammed porcelain box at the other and had the worst customer service experience at both. One had store staff who couldn’t be bothered to help me and the other had a million excuses on why my order hadn’t shipped or even where it was! (I am still waiting for the porcelain boxes after 8 weeks and had no gifts for my cousins.) No one made me a priority or even cared to try to solve my problem and I’m unlikely to give these two companies any business in the future. Customer service is one of the things I know we do well at Genie Beauty— we get complimented on it all the time.
So I wanted to let you know what to expect when you order from us: If you call in— more than likely Wendy will take your order, regardless of what you order, she will let you know what specials we have right now and can answer any questions you may have about products even down to what shade to order and how to use it. Wendy personally uses all of our products and can answer just about any question you can come up with. If you order online you will receive an order confirmation email and then later a tracking number as soon as it ships. (Your order is shipped within 24 hours of placing your order and has been quality-checked by two of our warehouse ladies). Your order will contain samples of products we think you might be interested in as well as a product catalog and often a coupon or promotion for future orders.
